  • Stephanie Chen’s Statement

What encourages us to engage socially? My design work has focused on objects, environments and methods that we use daily to create direct social interaction.

Echo is an interactive future plastic product, that explores how a morphable and intelligent plastic object can act as a sculptural diary, with which we communicate.

Examining the influences of architecture and ritual within the context of eating, my final project Food Fight aims to find ways of inspiring people to socially engage in a public setting; providing positive social stimulation in an increasingly solitary society.
