For my last project at the RCA I concentrated on urban public transport. The London Underground is the world's oldest underground system, and is the largest in terms of route length. Because the system is old, passengers are facing several problems while travelling.
The Underground Ark project is aimed at developing and improving the quality of the everyday journey of the passenger, emphasising comfort.
Coming from a products and systems design engineering background, I have always tried to combine aesthetics; ergonomics and innovation in everyday products systems.
My main principle is: "Before offering a solution to a problem, consider first if you are trying to solve the right problem."
