  • Marieje A van Buuren’s Statement

This year, it was stated that 40% of British teenagers would like to have plastic surgery. Body shapes have always been sensitive to ever-changing beauty ideals but with dramatic climate change at our doorstep, body shape modifications might have to become more functional and less aesthetic. The Chimera Project lets the user perform body modifications whilst informing them on historical beauty ideals and future possibilities. The Harmonious Family Challenge is a family punch-clock. The score-board keeps track of everyone's contributions made to the household. Is everyone making an equal effort to keep a harmonious home? If not, who is opting out?
