Johanna Nilsson’s Statement
This collection drew inspiration from the shapes and materials, found in 1930s art deco bags and jewellery. I wanted to create a mix of retro and modern, playing with details and materials reminiscent of vintage accessories but with a very contemporary finish. Colour, texture and structure are considered to complement each other in creating a combination. Soft leather mixed with hard plastic and metal, shiny and matt fabric, structured shapes mixed with soft pleats.
