The work environment at the RCA supports the dual missions of research and education. Regardless of individual roles, the College values each person’s contribution and offers professional development through opportunities for on-site learning as well as a number of other opportunities for career advancement and development. Our aim is to improve the quality of the professional experience by enabling our staff to fully engage with a vibrant and stimulating workplace.
The College has over 450 members of staff at any one time, including
over 100 contracted academic staff, 80 technicians, 10 visiting
professors and several hundred part-time visiting lecturers, as well as
administrative and support staff, who provide the essential structural
services that ensure that the College continues to function effectively.
The College is committed to a programme of development that ensures
that staff, as well as students, are given opportunities to develop
their own learning and practice.
