My work explores self and otherness, with a focus on gendered identity.
I see my projects as a continual self-portrait; I feel that my sitters and I
share our identities in various ways, but never completely. I am interested
in how perception can form the image, which becomes a sphere where
identity is dismantled, but also a space where it is created. My work is
informed by fears and fantasies surrounding questions of who we are,
mentally and physically, and who we feel we are in the eyes of others.
