The Department undertakes historical and theoretical research across a broad range of different disciplines and practices. It is uniquely placed to encourage and develop cross-disciplinary research, and is an ideal environment for students who wish to pursue academic research within an art school environment. Current and future research projects encompass curating and archiving across art, architecture and design; typography and fine art; aesthetic theory; body-centric architecture; and the exploration of urban culture in the context of London, Paris, Lisbon and Brussels.
