In the UK around 30 million tonnes of domestic waste are produced each year, which contain on average about 38 per cent organic content, such as food scraps and fruit and vegetable peelings. Virtually any fruit or vegetable can be fermented into alcohol/biofuel. In the light of the current debate over biofuel versus food crops and government legislation concerning landfill allowances, my product would enable companies and individuals to deal with organic waste locally. A still and organic waste bin, it ferments and distills primarily fruit and vegetable scraps into biofuel.
