Between the Frames: The Role of the Interval between Frames and Shots and the Implications of Interpretation of the Interval in Digital Video

Through examination of the intervallic editing approaches of three filmmaker/theorists, Dziga Vertov, Stan Brakhage and Rose Lowder, and practical application through a series of experimental films, this research project theorises the role of the interval and proposes an informed intervallic approach to digital video-editing practices.
