Savina Torrisi has been teaching in IDE since 2004 and is a second-year programme Tutor. She is co-Founder and Partner of NOI architects, an interdisciplinary architectural practice established in 2008 with Davide Di Pietro.
Savina is also Visiting Professor of Cost Control and Design, and the Architecture Venture Lab, part of the Master’s programme in Architectural Management and Design at IE School of Architecture and Design, Madrid./p>
Savina Torrisi graduated in Architecture at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (Italy) and qualified as an architect in 2001.
In 2002 she moved to London and worked as an architect for several multidisciplinary and architectural firms, including Foster + Partners, on a wide range of projects including kinetic installations, lighting systems, hotels, commercial and residential schemes.
Savina has also collaborated as a design consultant with Richard Rogers and Partners on the design of Maantis Lighting System for Reggiani Illuminazione, and with Zaha Hadid Architects on a design proposal for Stella McCartney 2004 fashion show.
Savina has served as an external juror at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Saint-Étienne and at the Architectural Association. She was engaged in a series of projects for 2012 Olympic Games, including, as team leader, The Gabions Workshop and London 2012 Garden Workshop organised by InnovationRCA in collaboration with the Olympic Delivery Authority.
In 2008 Savina co-founded NOI architects, an interdisciplinary architectural practice based in London.
In 2011 Savina became Visiting Professor in Architectural Management and Designat at the IE School of Architecture and Design, Madrid.
