OBUOY is an innovative new inflatable water rescue device that secures a drowning casualty and keeps them afloat, regardless of their consciousness and ability to support themselves. The patented inflatable hinge allows the arms to curl inwards and grab the casualty, keeping their airway above water and keeping them alive. OBUOY effectively protects two lives — the rescuer and the casualty. It keeps the rescuer at arm’s length, away from the potentially panicking person; it grips tightly onto the casualty even if they are unconscious or weak; and it is filled with oxygen for quick administration after rescue.
