I am a fusion of designer, engineer and innovator. While it is clear that the time for frivolous making has passed, my desires rest in the creation of well-designed, holistic products, that can positively influence people’s everyday lives.
My project on the future of orthopaedic fracture is one example of this; the project explores how growing trends in healthcare, and increasingly pervasive technology, can combine to revolutionise the current treatment of fractures. The output is a new cast that can have huge benefit to patients, aiding them towards shorter recovery, while improving their comfort throughout the healing process.
