Research interests
Dr Choi’s research and teaching are complimentary and focused on both evidence based and human centred design. The research goals are to identify tools/methods, particularly for new and emerging technologies, that can provide designers with valid information needed to make better design decisions. Her goal is to identify ways to produce products that are more effective, efficient, satisfactory for users as well as more successful for producers. These are important for any product but especially for assistive technologies where careful attention to custom fit, function and satisfaction are critical in reducing abandonment and stigma that can be associated with using them.
