Our Studio Projects enable companies to explore innovation horizons and blue sky thinking through research led projects undertaken by RCA Master’s and research students.

Explore innovation

With design and creativity at their core, our Studio Projects help organisations to re-ignite their innovation potential, challenge conventional assumptions and identify business growth opportunities. These research-led knowledge exchange projects deliver creative solutions through a unique workshop-based approach that brings together business partners, academics and students to explore long-term horizons and develop speculative design concepts.

Studio Projects are delivered with students from a wide range of degree programmes across the RCA, usually lasting a term. Recent projects include a collaboration with CERN exploring how science technology and design can propose solutions to international sustainability challenges; a project on the future of work as a result of AI disruption with Microsoft; and architecture design projects in partnership with British Land.
