Chris is an experienced leader in UK higher education, with expertise in strategy development, curriculum design and educational innovation.
Chris has a leading role in the development of new academic frameworks, programmes and pedagogies at the College. This includes leading the MEd in Creative Education. He previously worked at the College as Head of Academic Development and Learning and Teaching Coordinator. Before that, he was Manager of the Economics Subject Centre of the Higher Education Academy.
Chris has an EdD from the UCL Institute of Education and an MA in Online and Distance Education from the Open University. He is also a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Fellow of the Staff Educational Development Association (SEDA).

Research interests
Chris's research focuses on the design, delivery and evaluation of education that addresses social goals. These include challenge projects that bring people together to identify and address wicked problems as well as elective offers and institute-wide professional development schemes designed to provide students with the transferable skills necessary to translate intentions into action.
His doctoral research reflected on the public role of UK higher education through an investigation into the emergence of challenge projects in postgraduate and undergraduate education.
