Nicola is a product designer and design researcher, with a background in emerging technologies. She has worked in industry, academia, and design and research consultancy.
Nicola holds a BSc in Product Design, and a PhD on the impact of printed electronics on product design. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) – Advance HE.
She has taught computer-aided design at several UK universities. She has worked on a variety of national and international research projects as a design researcher.
Nicola worked as a designer across a range of areas, including film and television, playground design, product design and development both in the steel industry and in her own business (consultancy, and own product designs).
