John is an experienced Service Design Strategist and Researcher who has worked across public, private and third sector environments for the past 14 years.
John is a versatile designer working with a wide range of design practises in human-centred and systemic innovation approaches. In his practice and research he aims to bring about positive social impact by working inclusively on complex systemic challenges.
In addition to his role as Tutor and Researcher on the Service Design course he is also Design Research Lead at the Service Futures Lab.

Research interests
John’s research explores the emerging edges of the service design discipline mostly through action research. He explores its pedagogy and commercial representation, it’s place in industry as well the new terrain of methodologies that are created as it engages with new challenges and other disciplines.
