Dr Seyithan Özer is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Architecture.
Seyithan's research broadly focuses on the construction and systematisation of design knowledge in housing and the built environment. In particular, he studies policies, manuals, and guidelines for architectural design; the evidence, data, methodology and reasoning underlying them; and seeks to develop alternative evidence and innovative approaches. He has published his research as peer-reviewed articles in leading housing studies and architecture journals, and as chapters in edited volumes; and he regularly reviews articles for various academic journals.
Seyithan holds a PhD from the Royal College of Art; an MPhil from the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London and a B.Arch. degree from the Middle East University, Turkey.
