Simon Hamilton is an interior designer, lecturer, careers mentor and diversity advisor.
Simon Hamilton is an interior designer who established his first design consultancy in 2002. He works independently and in collaboration with other creatives. For over 30 years, he has worked across a broad range of design sectors, designing interiors for commercial and residential clients in the UK and Europe.
Simon was International Director for the British Institute of Interior Design, travelling the world as an ambassador of British design for four years from 2010. Following a productive diversion into specialist design and architectural recruitment, Hamilton established Design Career Consulting in 2019. His consultancy provides comprehensive career advice services, consultations and workshops for graduates and designers at all stages of their professional development.
He continues to provide support for the BIID as a member of their Diversity & Inclusion Committee and works closely with United In Design as a council member and diversity advisor. As a fellow of the RSA, Simon champions social justice and equality within the creative industry and became a patron of the Design Museum in 2022.
