Emma J Shipley, CEO of Emma J Shipley

CEO and Founder, Emma Shipley, is a British graphic artist creating homeware and accessories for nature lovers, dreamers and maximalists. Emma has always had a fascination with nature and animals, in particular those from the most extreme and wild places on Earth, such as the jungles of South America and the savannahs of Africa. The designs are all hand-drawn in pencil, before being intricately digitally coloured, giving a distinctive look combining traditional and cutting-edge techniques.

The brand, Emma J Shipley, launched at London Fashion Week in 2012, after Emma graduated from the Royal College of Art's Masters Textiles Programme. Emma won multiple awards for her drawing and designs on graduation and has since won business awards in the UK and internationally, including the WGSN Global Fashion Award for Emerging Brand. The famous boutique Browns launched Emma’s graduate collection of printed scarves, and collections are now stocked in some of the best department stores, including Harrods and Fortnum’s in London. Since joining InnovationRCA the Emma J Shipley brand has continued its growth trajectory winning investment and scaling beyond the UK.

Oluwaseyi (Seyi) Sosanya, CEO Gravity Sketch

Gravity Sketch makes an intuitive creation tool with a re-imagined user experience specifically designed for mixed reality. It allows users to create 3D models, concept drafts, and work in a fast and intuitive way through the use of AR, VR, and Touch technologies. Widely used by designers to reduce design time, the Gravity Sketch tool has become the 3D sketching tool for rapid prototyping, ideation and collaboration.

The Gravity Sketch concept was conceived and invented by a team of students on the Royal College of Art's Innovation Design Engineering Master's programme in 2014. With help from InnovationRCA a patent was filed and following graduation the venture was born. CEO and Founder, Oluwaseyi (Seyi) Sosanya studied mechanical engineering at Oregon State University, prior to the RCA and his career included experience working in Taiwan’s manufacturing hubs and designing at Jaguar Land Rover. Seyi has taken the company to new heights winning numerous awards and securing investment from leading venture capital firms including Forward Partners (UK), with Wacom (JP) and Super Ventures.
