We will be kicking off the start of the academic year with a special Inspirational Entrepreneurs event in collaboration with the RCA Student Support Team and Student Union.
Come and join us on Wednesday 13 September to hear from Simon Gunning, the man behind the evocative campaigns and tremendous growth of award- winning charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). CALM is leading a movement against suicide by provoking national conversation, offering life-saving services, and bringing people together.
Simon Gunning is the CEO of CALM. Since joining CALM in 2017, Simon has overseen rapid transformation of its brand and operations, more than doubling its helpline service provision to reach more people before the point of crisis.
Award-winning campaigns and partnerships with brands and agencies has driven huge growth in CALM’s profile and revenue, helping to drive awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide. Simon’s fascinating background in music, media and advertising have reshaped the outreach strategies employed by CALM.
We are so pleased that Simon Gunning will be our guest speaker for our next Inspirational Entrepreneurs event. Come and hear about the things CALM is doing; his entrepreneurial journey from the music industry to leading digital at the BBC to CALM, and their innovative, community building marketing strategies.
Note: Event starts promptly at 5.30pm and doors open at 5pm. Following the event there will be a drinks networking reception.
