InnovationRCA is delighted to welcome Chris Sheldrick, the CEO and Co-founder of What3Words as our next Inspirational Entrepreneur guest speaker. With a background in the music industry, organising live events around the world, Chris routinely grappled with the frustrations and difficulties of poor addressing every day – getting lost trying to find events was pretty common! Frustration led to innovation in the form of What3words: an award winning, multi-million generating business.

What3Words is a proprietary geocode system designed to identify any location on the surface of Earth with a resolution of about 3 metres using a unique combination of three different words. It is used by millions of people around the world and has helped thousands of businesses including emergency services and NGOs to find people more easily and faster. Logistics and e-commerce businesses like DPD, DHL Parcel UK, Evri and the boohoo group are using what3words to ensure parcels are delivered exactly where they’re needed. The technology has also been built into in-car navigation systems by automakers like Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar Land Rover. What3words has become popular in pop culture featuring in TV shows including NCIS: Los Angeles, Casualty, Blindspot, The Undeclared War, Treason, The Blacklist, Girl's High School Mystery Club and The Last Ship.

We will be having a fireside chat with Chris as we dive into his personal entrepreneurial journey and experience followed by Q&A. The evening will also feature our very own RCA inspirational early-stage entrepreneur, Sindi Breshani, the co-founder of Episod Studio, a mission-led game development studio. Sindi will be sharing an update on their upcoming game called Race for the Arctic.
