The RCA School of Architecture is very pleased to welcome Andrew Hodgkinson , Founder and Director at Hodgkinson Design in west London who will be discussing celebrated architect and designer Eileen Gray.
The event will take place at RCA Kensington, Lecture Theatre 1.
In 1973, as part of his dissertation, Andrew Hodgkinson wrote to Eileen Gray asking to interview her about her career and subsequently visited Gray in her Paris apartment.
Join us for an exclusive screening of In Conversation with Eileen Gray. In this film Hodgkinson and Gray discuss her work whilst leafing through a portfolio. Gray was 95 at the time and the interview provides a rare glimpse into the personality of the now-revered designer.
The screening is followed by a discussion with Andrew Hodgkinson and Philippe Garner, a key spokesperson on the life and work of Gray for over 40 years.
The screening will take place in person at 18:30-20:15 in Lecture Theatre 1 at the RCA Kensington Campus with drinks provided.
Places are limited, booking required.
