Studying at the Royal College of Art places you in London: a city internationally renowned for its creativity, culture and diversity – the perfect place to develop your creative career in. What do prospective students need to know about studying at the RCA? How can you best prepare an application, or as an Offer Holder, how can you make the most of your time at the RCA?

You’re invited to meet Joseph Pochodzaj (Senior Tutor of Visual Communication MA) in Birmingham on Tuesday 25 February 2025, for an in-person conversation addressing these talking points – and many more.

What to expect

Tuesday 25 February 2025, 6.30–8.30pm

The first part of this event will include a short background presentation about the Royal College of Art. The second part of the event will involve an open Q&A and portfolio session, followed by a networking opportunity to meet fellow applicants and offer holders in your area, answer any questions you might have about studying at the RCA and share advice on your application or best preparing yourself for study.

Who is this event for

  • Those interested in postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art, particularly at the School of Communication
  • Current RCA applicants and offer-holders
  • Friends and family are also welcome to join, though please ensure they have a ticket.

You don't have to specialise in any discipline to attend this event: we welcome guests planning to apply to all subject areas.

Due to the postgraduate nature of RCA study, all attendees must be over 18.

Yes! We suggest you join once the initial presentation is over to meet fellow offer holders and applicants have and to answer any questions you may have about how to prepare for and make the most of your time at the RCA.

We're delighted you're thinking of starting your RCA journey. There is a portfolio Q&A as part of the event where you can ask questions about the application process and how to prepare your portfolio. We encourage you to bring your portfolio with you if you want more detailed informal advice.
