Online Study Day: Graduate Diploma

About this event

The Graduate Diploma Art & Design prepares you for Master’s study at the RCA. We focus on developing proficiency in the independent learning methods and practices of art and design, and on introducing you to the role and influence of art and design in the world today.

The Graduate Diploma is the only programme at the RCA available to complete online, allowing students the ease and flexibility to complete the programme in their own surroundings. Join us for this online event to learn more about our online study mode and get your questions answered.

Online students are very much part of the Graduate Diploma community and we have worked hard since the programme's inception to build a global online student community. Some of our online students have achieved the highest Grades to date in the programme and have successfully progressed onto their chosen RCA MA.

This Online Study Day event focuses on students planning to join the programme for our May 2025 intake. You are still welcome to join if you are interested in later intakes too, but some of the presentation materials might focus on the May 2025 entry.

What to expect

This session will be a 2 hour online experience shaped around a 1 hour introduction to the programme with a Q&A and then a 1 hour online learning experience where attendees will have the chance to take-part in a live study session alongside current Graduate Diploma students.

In preparation for the day, we kindly ask that you have some A4 paper and marker pens with you to help you with some creative assignments. This session is happening online so a digital equivalent works too.

During this session you will get a sense of what it is like to be an online student on the Graduate Diploma and how we combine both modes of study simultaneously to build one global Graduate Diploma cohort.

How to join

This event will take place virtually on Zoom. The event is free to attend, but you will need to register through Eventbrite to guarantee your spot and receive the Zoom link.

To avoid any technical issues on the day, we recommend you download the latest version of Zoom in advance.
