QUEER X TIME is a three-part public event series hosted by the School of Architecture at the Royal College of Art.
QUEER X TIME is a three-part public event series hosted by the School of Architecture at the Royal College of Art. Celebrating queerness and its relationship with space and the built environment across time, it aims to address the marginalisation of queer experience in the discipline.
“Queer Pasts” (January 25 2024, 6pm) centres on queer representation in archives. Anjum Mouj, a Trustee of Queer Britain, will discuss London’s first museum of British LGBTQIA+ history and culture. The novelist Shola von Reinhold will discuss her novel Lote (2020) which charts the central protagonist’s preoccupation with a forgotten Black Scottish modernist poet.
All events will take place in the RCA’s South Kensington Campus, Darwin Building, Lecture Theatre 1. Open to all.
Queer Pasts is co-funded by the School of Architecture and RCA MRes.
