The RCA has today announced three new senior permanent appointments. 

Professor Ken Neil has been appointed as the RCA’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic, following on from working in the role on an interim basis for the last seven months. Professor Neil has over two decades of teaching and leadership experience. He was previously Dean of the RCA’s School of Arts & Humanities from 2020 - 2024, and held senior academic posts at The Glasgow School of Art since 2006, including working as Deputy Director (Academic) from 2016.

Professor Chantal Faust has been appointed to the position of Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities - a role she has been working in for the past six months. Professor Faust has been at the RCA since 2010 in a range of roles, most recently as Head of Programme for the Contemporary Art Practice MA, and brings wide-ranging knowledge and experience of the College and of our sector, in the areas of learning, teaching, research and innovation. 

Dr Harold Offeh has also been permanently appointed Head of Programme for MA Contemporary Art Practice. Dr Offeh has been a tutor in the MA Contemporary Art Practice programme since 2022 and has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally including: Tate Britain and Tate Modern; South London Gallery; Turf Projects, London; Kettle's Yard, Cambridge; Wysing Art Centre; Studio Museum Harlem, New York; MAC VAL, France; Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Denmark; and Art Tower Mito, Japan.

Professor Christoph Lindner, President and Vice-Chancellor of the RCA said of the appointments: “Ken, Chantal and Harold bring an extensive range of experience, talent and energy to these important roles and have already made significant contributions to the RCA community. I look forward to working with them on supporting our students and ensuring academic excellence.”
