RCA superFUTURES collaboration announced with international design agency

The collaboration between RCA superFUTURES and Perkins&Will seeks to bring industry leaders from a broad spectrum of disciplines together to engage in futures discussions, and to support the next generation of critical spatial practitioners.

Perkins&Will are offering three study prizes to superFUTURES Interior Design MA students – one per year from 2025 to 2028, mentoring opportunities and a graduate position are also offered to this year's cohort.

The collaboration launches with a series of intimate conversations, spaces for:, where three topics will be explored in detail over the coming six months. The first roundtable focusing on the topic of magic will be facilitated by RCA Senior Tutor in MA Interior Design and Resident Spatial Futures Advisor to Perkins&Will, Gem Barton.

Gem Barton commented: “Through superFUTURES and the partnership with Perkins&Will, we hope to bridge speculative spatial design with real-world impact. By opening up the conversation and engaging directly with architects and their client base the partnership can inspire change whilst empowering the next generation to imagine inclusive futures for our built environment.”
